If You Already Have a Tree

I can convert your existing knowledge of your family’s history into a book, to share with or gift to other family members, or simply to have as a reference – an organised record of your work so far.

I may be able to add detail to your work – if you have parish register index entries or transcriptions from the South Lakes area, I will usually be able to convert them into images of the original registers, for example. Or I may be able to extend your work by identifying ‘new’ ancestors and adding them and their records to your existing tree.

I can see member trees on FamilySearch and Ancestry, or I can receive and read from your GEDCOM* file. I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out, no matter the format in which your work currently exists.

*A GEDCOM file is plain text (usually either UTF-8 or ASCII) containing genealogical information about individuals, and meta data linking these records together. Most genealogy software supports importing from and exporting to GEDCOM format.
